There are many beautiful and wonderful scenic areas on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Dashanbao Scenic Area is one of them. Dashanbao Scenic Area is renowned for its vast plateau meadows, deep canyons, clear lakes, and unique habitat for black necked cranes. When we stay here, the first thing we can find is the undulating and endless plateau meadows. Under the sunshine, the meadow presents a golden color, with a gentle breeze blowing and the grass waves rolling gently, as if the nature is playing a melodious melody. Strolling among them, the soft grass underfoot and colorful wildflowers beside us, the fresh grass fragrance and faint floral fragrance fill the air, making people feel like they are in a dreamlike fairy tale world.

The canyon in Dashanbao is a masterpiece carved by nature with divine craftsmanship. On both sides of the canyon, towering cliffs rise into the clouds, with strange and rugged rocks of various shapes. Some are like sharp swords piercing into the clouds, while others are like fierce beasts crouching on the ground, making people marvel at the wonder and greatness of nature. Standing at the edge of the canyon, overlooking the turbulent river and deep valley below, a sense of awe arises. The river in the canyon rushes endlessly, making a deafening sound, as if telling the vicissitudes of time and the changes of history.

In addition to meadows and canyons, the lakes in Dashanbao are also a beautiful scenery. Tiaodunhe Reservoir and Dahaizi Reservoir are like two brilliant sapphires(蓝宝石), embedded in this plateau. The lake water is clear to the bottom, and under the reflection of sunlight, it presents colorful hues. By the lake, weeping willows sway in the wind, as if graceful and charming young girls are dancing gracefully. On the lake, water birds occasionally skim by, leaving a beautiful arc. Here, we can sit quietly by the lake, enjoy the scenery of the lake and mountains, feel the tranquility and beauty of nature, and give your soul a thorough baptism.

However, the most attractive feature of Dashanbao Scenic Area is undoubtedly the flocks of black necked cranes. The black necked crane is a national first-class protected animal and is known as the bird panda. Every winter, thousands of black necked cranes fly from the distant north to spend the winter here. They either soar in the sky, forage by the water, or play on the grass, creating a harmonious and beautiful scene. The slender figure, white feathers, and black neck of the black necked crane shine particularly brightly in the sunlight. They are the elves of nature and the most precious treasure of the Dashanbao Scenic Area. In order to protect these lovely creatures, the local government and people have taken a series of effective measures and established a national nature reserve for black necked cranes, providing a safe and comfortable habitat for them.

In addition to natural scenery, Dashanbao Scenic Area also contains rich cultural heritage. The Yi, Miao and other ethnic minority compatriots here preserve unique customs, traditions and culture. Their clothing is colorful, with exquisite patterns and rich ethnic customs.
