泸州老窖景区 Luzhou Laojiao Scenic Spot

Luzhou, one of my favorite cities, formerly known as Jiangyang, is a national historical and cultural city located at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Chongqing, with a history of over 2,100 years of establishment. Here, the Yangtze River and the Tuojiang Rriver converge and mountains and waters are interdependent. It is not only renowned as the City of Chinese alcohol, home to two famous liquors, Luzhou Laojiao and Langjiu, but also the only original production area of both strong and sauce-flavored high-quality Baijiu in the country. As an important transfer site for the Four Crossings of the Chishui River, Luzhou boasts a profound red culture. Today, it is the largest water transport port city in Sichuan Province. With its unique charm, it is accelerating its development into an open, dynamic and happy modern city. This passage is about Luzhou Laojiao Scenic Spot, one famous sightseeing destination of Luzhou City.

Luzhou Laojiao Scenic Spot is located in Jiangyang District, Luzhou City. It is a comprehensive tourist area that integrates cultural communication, tourism, shopping leisure, entertainment, accommodation and air ticketing business. It is invested by Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd. and it has enjoyed the titles of the first batch of National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site(全国工业旅游示范点) and a demonstration area for folk cultural heritage tourism in China. In the year of 2009, it was awarded as national 4A-level scenic spot by the State Tourism Bureau.

In the scenic spot, we could be able to have the opportunity to taste Luzhou Laojiao. And the tasting center within the scenic area is a paradise for Baijiu lovers. Here, tourists can follow professional wine tasters and learn how to observe color, smell aroma, taste and understand character. Take a light sip of Luzhou Laojiao. At first, we'll find it smooth, sweet and clean. Then, the cellar aroma becomes rich and intense. The aftertaste is long and sweet, as if we can really feel the terroir of southern Sichuan blooming on our tongue. What's even more interesting is the cocktail mixing experience, where visitors can mix their own exclusive cocktails by hand, infusing their individuality and creativity into the thousand-year-old aroma of Luzhou Laojiao.
