女子退休前查出癌症,花大量积蓄去南极旅游,回来肿瘤竟变小了;十几年走遍30多国拍下1200种鸟
据云南广播电视台10月1日报道，67岁的鸟类生态摄影师王英退休前查出癌症，心灰意冷的她，决定冲动一次：不惜代价，去南极。
A 67-year-old bird photographer in Yunnan province says an impulsive trip to Antarctica after a cancer diagnosis gave her a new lease on life.
“十五万，去一个月。”严寒的天气、颠簸的游轮、漫长的航程，这趟价值不菲的旅程，并没有想象中的惬意，但当王英在零下几十度的冰原上蹲守，终于拍到想要的画面时，一切都值得了。
Wang Ying, a bird ecology photographer, was diagnosed with cancer before her retirement. Feeling hopeless, she decided to take a bold step: travel to Antarctica, whatever the cost.
王英说：“我就想拍一个镜头，企鹅妈妈回来喂小企鹅的镜头。下着雪，刮着大风，我拍到了。其他人都走了，就我一个人在那里坚持，我拍到了，我太高兴了。”
The month-long trip cost 150,000 yuan, and the freezing weather, rough seas and long voyage were far from comfortable. But when she finally captured the shot she wanted — a penguin mother returning to feed her chick — while crouching on ice in temperatures dozens of degrees below zero, it was all worth it.
"Everyone else had left, and I was the only one still holding on. I got the shot. I was so happy," Wang said.
王英介绍，从南极回来，她就赶快到肿瘤医院去检查，“医生说你的肿瘤小了，一个月的变化，他说不用马上做手术，可以继续观察。这就是给你生的希望，经历了这么一趟，然后我就‘活’过来了。”
After returning from Antarctica, she went to a cancer hospital for a checkup. "The doctor said my tumor had shrunk. After just one month, he said I didn't need surgery right away and could continue with observation," she said. "That gave me hope for life. After that trip, I came back to life."
今年，王英67岁，每年大半时间都在扛着相机到处跑。大量积蓄换成了“长枪短炮”，护肤保养让位给跋山涉水。
Now 67, Wang spends most of the year carrying her camera around the world. Her savings have gone into lenses and equipment, while skincare and pampering have given way to hiking and traveling.
退休十几年，王英带着她的相机走遍了全中国，走过了全世界30多个国家，捕捉下近1200种鸟类的身影。年龄增长，阻挡不了一颗总在路上、好奇探索的心。
Over more than a decade of retirement, she has traveled across China and to more than 30 countries, photographing nearly 1,200 bird species. Age has not stopped her curiosity or her urge to keep moving.
“有能力的时候，我继续出国，我已经预订了今年和明年的一些行程，美国、秘鲁、非洲这边再跑一跑，走的地方多了，见的东西多了，看淡了，想开了，有些东西真的就不会再计较了。”王英说。
"As long as I'm able, I'll keep traveling abroad. I've already booked trips for this year and next — the United States, Peru, Africa," Wang said. "The more places I go and the more I see, the more I let go. Some things really stop bothering you."
